Caramel 11 is an unpolished pop diamond formed by vocalist and composer Thea Ellingsen Grant. The music and lyrics mirrors thoughts and experiences from different perspectives – sometimes personal sometimes fictional. With a dreamy structure moving slightly off course the listener is immersed in an humble unpredictability held together by familiar references to the 60s and 70s rock and pop music.
The band consisting of guitarist Magnus Skaug, synthist Håkon Brunborg Kjenstad, bassist Alf Høines and drummer Ingvald Vassbø met in Trondheim during their jazz studies and joined with a common fascination for timeless pop music derived from classical and avantgardist influences. This is the core of Thea Grants musical diamond – an unbreakable addition to the contemporary music scene.
Their debut single Boxes Of Ashes resulted in a collaboration with musician and producer Matias Tellez and his record label, Blanca Records. It was released the 2nd of August and they are now set to play a few concerts combined with writing and recording new music.
